The CAMAND organising committee was formed in 2022 by Danny Hatters and Adam Walker, and brought together molecular and cellular neurodegeneration researchers to organise a new unique conference to stimulate collaboration across neurodegenerative diseases.
The inaugural CAMAND meeting was held in 2023 at the Queensland Brain Institute in Brisbane as a satellite to the Australasian Neuroscience Society annual conference, with over 120 registered attendees from across Australia and New Zealand (plus several from overseas).
The 1st CAMAND meeting was held at the Queensland Brain Institute, The University of Queensland, Dec 3-4, 2023.
More than 120 students and researchers attended the meeting.
